Why are people getting upset with someone who wrote a post over 5 months ago?? Who knows if she's even still on CD. There are plenty of other current threads to get annoyed with.

I think this is the best way to deal with them if I were in your shoes... once they start losing members maybe they'll make better efforts toward safety. I still believe that leaving valuables unattended puts you at risk no matter what level of safety is enforced, but if what you describe is true then there are some things this place could be doing to make the environment safer for everyone (including kids that walk over from the nearby apartment complex).
