Has anyone heard of this community? Anyone living here? Just wondering what it's like, looking for some info if anyone has any opinions.
Thanks.

Harrington pointe, off of leesville? I think the location is great, lots of shopping around (close to brier creek) and close to RTP for commuting. I do not mind a centex home either, they don't have tons of standards that have that wow factor, but still nice quality. I do think that they are pricey for being townhomes, but that is my opinion. I don't know how much they will actually increase in value based on the fact that they are townhomes (I think there are some in the community that are in the 400 range). I know they are more like "detached" townhomes, but none the less, they don't have a lot of yard.
That is just my opinion though.

I've watched these being built and I've watched the prices go up and up!
Anything thats in North Raleigh with Leesville Road schools is a winner.
Centex is building the same homes in Heritage.

I haven't checked these in Heritage in a while and they may be finished building them but a re sale would be a possibility.
Actually, when they began building these in Heritage, they were about $50,000 MORE than Harrington Pointe.
Just so you know how popular Harrington Pointe is...two of the agents in my office just moved in last week! One with kids and one without.

help..advice needed!
I am wondering if the fact that these homes are semi-detached, does this reduce the resale value, are they then considered as a town home? The price per square foot seems high, but we went to see these homes today and they are gorgeous and of course the location is amazing! Do you think there would be any trouble selling these in a few years? I assume not, but am so nervous...first time home buyer!

Semi-detatched is a plus, as it reduces the noise between the units, giving more privacy, yet you still have the maintenance coverage of a townhome. Historically, townhomes do not appreciate like SFR's, but the location, schools, and the fact that these are higher end makes me less concerned.
Just out of curiosity, as a first time home buyer - are you working with a buyer's agent? Having professional representation (usually compensated by the seller at no additional cost to you) might put your mind at ease with some of those concerns! If you are working with someone, then don't be afraid to ask lots of questions - their job is to walk you through the process of making one of the biggest investment decisions of your life.
Good luck!
