The general character of the place (i.e. loud on weekends, 20somethings in and out constantly) is not going to change in just a few months.

Apologize for bumping this. Any more recent perspectives on Oberlin?

I looked at it only after reading this thread, my first impression was the advertised rent is stupidly high. The interiors look good in the pics, but on apartment ratings there are reports from folks who were shown model units with amenities like granite countertops, only to move in and find their actual unit didn't have these. LOL.. amazing that someone wouldn't ask to see the actual unit they are getting before signing.

If you don't mind continuous 7 day a week construction noise A TO Z , Don't mind ALL the animals coming to your door step to urinate and and **** and seeing it coming out of dogs rear ends as you walk out your back door , don't mind tracing the undetected feces being tracked in on your carpet and getting ring worm from it because you as most people do, lay on your carpet,, Don't mind that outsiders (nonpaying tenants) are using YOUR wreck room for their instructional classes when you want to use it = being allowed buy management probably making some under and extra money on it - taking advantage of you and your rental fee’s,, Don't mind that the cheap doors that they have as entranceways are broken much of the time and will keep you up banging shut for months at a time, this has been ongoing for 8 months , they fix it it brakes on and on. Don't mind barking dogs all night and day long when left alone, Don't mind that all the construction has it hard to get in and of the alley way at times,, Don't mind that a SINGLE maintenance man will come into your apartment to fix something wile your gone ALONE without a witness and and leave a card saying he visited without leaving his name on it...Don't mind cameras all over you and you will be told to hold your voice down to a certain level while you live here that is after you move in,,, The dogs are allowed to **** and **** at will any were they want to, on your porch, against the building, at the entrance ways of the building and so on, Don’t mind flies ALLOT OF FLIES diving into your apartment if your place in any were near the large open garbage dumpsters, its bad in the summer, Oberlin court over all is a very noisy complex for the most part ... IF THIS IS YOU YOU HAVE FOUND THE PERFECT PLACE. Rent Prices here are way out of control for what you get here and its not nearly as secure as they say it is, 3 robberies scents we have been here in the last 8 months and the so called secured parking is gated with a plastic PVC pipe gate and is left completely open mid at the end of each workday , the other parking garage is completely unsecured,,,, There are way better deals out there and easy to find…. Oh yea, nothing against the animals or there owners just telling it like it is ok.
