I'm doing an etouffee for Fat Tuesday, and I'm going to need some crawfish.

Anyone know some places in the Triangle to look? (Hopefully for purchase. I'll break out the waders and a net if I have to, but I'd rather just buy them!

Grand Asia Market (Welcome to Grand Asia Market) has that most of the time. Just be aware, sometimes not so live.

If you are still coming up empty, there's a couple local restaurants that (at least from time to time) serve fresh boiled crawdads. You could give them a call and see if they have a local supplier, or if they could sell some to you,

Papa Mojo's Roadhouse in Durham
Crawdaddy's Cajun Cafe in Carrboro

That failing, if money is no object there's numerous places in Louisiana that will ship live crawfish to you. Expect to pay around 5 bucks a pound, plus around $50-100 shipping.

Yeah, I'm headed out today to look around, but I've decided that frozen tails will probably work just as well.

I found some places on-line, the biggest issue was minimum purchase levels. I did find one that was just minimum 5 pounds of any perishable items which wasn't too bad.

Thanks all for the suggestions.
