Hello. My family and I just moved here from the west coast. We love Souplantation and I just found online that there are two here, one in Cary and in Raleigh. My daughter's birthday is coming up and she wants to have dinner at Souplantation. Please let me know which one is the newest and nicest. Thanks.

They aren't called Souplantation here. They are called Sweet Tomatoes. I've only been to the Cary one, and it is fine. My kids like it a lot. The two locations are a long way from each other and I'd be inclined to just pick the closer one.

<Rant ON> I hate Sweet Tomatoes. It's not the food quality compared to price that gets me. . . . it's the concept. The salad bar line is fine, but the free-for-all main dish area is crazy. I hate standing in a mob trying to get anything. And since my wife and I dine with our 3-year old, I'm the once constantly getting up to refill my wife's and son's plate as well as mine. <Rant OFF>

I've never visited the Cary location, but the Raleigh one is clean. I would let your location dictate your choice.

Thanks. Our four kiddos absolutely LOVE Souplantation, or "Sweet Tomatoes." Cary is actually closer to us but we would have been willing to take the drive to the nicer of the two if it was Raleigh. In California, we had a wonderful Souplantation we would frequent, it was super clean, had attentive staff and the veggies were always crisp and fresh. I never knew these qualities could be otherwise until we visited another Souplantation, actually closer to us, and we then experienced wilted, old veggies, old facility and lack of attentive staff. It made all the differnce between a great dining experience and a terrible one.

Thanks for your input.

Raleigh is clean with good veggies.

The owner tries to cheat with the drinks by not showing the price of $2.29 on the menu board. Water's free though.

Have complained to the franchise company 3 times. They will not respond to this issue.

Had dinner there last night. Wonderful veggie soup.

I went to the Cary one a while ago and didn't like it at all. I may not like Sweet Tomatoes in general though so I don't know if the Cary/Raleigh argument would help me.

Yeah, I noticed the drink issue when I used a twofer coupon that required buying two drinks. I might as well have paid for the two meals and drank water like usual.

Sorry sidebar rant.

This is all great to know! We're from CA too and we miss Souplantation so much. It's very hard to find a salad bar, let alone one as big and nice as Souplantations'. We're planing a trip to NC from VA and will specifically stop there to eat. Sounds like Cary might be the better of the two, if it's in the area.
