My question to those claiming that LTD is a pyramid scheme, what is a pyramid scheme? According the Webster's dictionary, a pyramid scheme is "a usually illegal operation in which participants pay to join and profit mainly from payments made by subsequent participants."The LTD is an accredited partner of the Amway Global Corporation. You may certainly check this accreditation with the corporation by calling their number listed on their website. LTD is a source of education because as many people stated, they do not have backgrounds in running businesses. Are there support and educational materials sold? Yes, of course. Can people spend more money on these materials than they make? Most certainly. However, is college not the same? 52% of people today who start college DO NOT finish. Those people, and even some who do finish, are not reimbursed because they did not succeed in the field they choose. For instance, A friend of mine went to college to become an engineer, he failed out his senior year. Does that mean engineering or college is a scam or a scheme? Hardly. It just means he was not willing to be what it took to become a good engineer. People who quit college spend money on textbooks and tuition, and they won't ever make money on those resources in their particular field. Are you, or anyone you know for that matter, currently not working in the field which your degree is in? That technically means that the money you spent on education for that degree is not correlated to the income you are currently making. Most people fail to see this. For those of you who have turned down this opportunity, it may not have been for you. For those who the opportunity was not presented the way you would have liked, please be open minded. People who get started in the opportunity and are brand new get excited to share this with their friends, or really anyone. The excitement that they are chasing a dream worth chasing shouldn't be criticized as so many here have done. For those who say LTD members do not contact close friends or family because they are embarrassed, that is completely untrue. I would never be embarrassed of my business. I know personally many people who have succeeded through this awesome opportunity. Everyone succeeds at the level they want to and are willing to. I know people who have completely replaced their full time income and no longer work day jobs, that was their goal. However I know many others whose goal it was merely to make enough money to pay a car payment and have succeeded at that. Amway Global is an amazing company that gives independent business owners the opportunity to work for themselves instead of someone else. For those who think "the guy on the top makes all the money" in same cases sure he does. But the companies we work with realize that if not for that person starting the business, all of the people "under him" would not be involved and this they as a corporation would be making less money. When I say involved, I mean generating volume. If an Independent business owner generates business volume for Amway, either through sales or marketing, they will get paid. That is exactly how it works. If that independent business owner chooses to expand their business through networking, they should get paid more because they were willing to work more. People are not paid for recruiting. This would make the opportunity illegal and illegitimate. Once you have helped others to start generating volume, and thus getting paid, the company will pay you a bonus for training others. Like I said before, you work harder, you get paid more. This is not an opportunity for everyone because it requires hardwork, dedication, and persistence. But for those who can get past negative critics and are willing to do the work necessary, this is by far, in my opinion, the best opportunity in America. For those are criticizing LTD, do you have an alternative? See the thing is, people are naturally quick to criticize however rarely offer an alternative that will get me to the results I am looking for in life. My personal goal is to be able to help fund medical missions over seas. I would also like to help public school systems in America because too many people are allowing the government to educate their children and they are not doing a good job. Why is it that children in public schools are taught Communism, Socialism, and every other way of life however not America's own Capitalism? I don't want to go off on a tangent here however my dream is to help people, thats all. This opportunity has given me a vehicle to have the financial influence to do so, outside of a 9 to 5 day job. Look up the Forbes top 100 list of wealthiest people, under the profile section, not one of them says Source: Employee, they all are due to investments and business ownership. For those of you reading, don't you think you deserve more out of life than just an average 9 to 5 day job? I could care less if you become involved in the LTD or Amway global business, however allow yourself to want more out of life. Don't keep being brought down by the lazy critics out there, whatever your dream is, find a way and just go do it. You only live once, but if you do it right, once should be enough.
