Help. My family and I just moved into a rental home last week and the dust that comes out of the air duct vents is terrible. Toddler is allergy sensitive and has been coughing alot. We slept without heater last night (sooo cold) and he coughed alot less. Need to get an estimate for my landlord and want someone who will be reliable and do a good job cleaning these vents.

Any recommendations from a company you have personally used and just curious about cost for a 1500 sq. ft. home.

Thanks.

I used this company years and years ago for that purpose. They did an excellent, thorough job but they weren't exactly the cheapest price around. I'm not sure about doing this in a rental home though without the owner's okay. I don't know, but I think I'd ask first.
The owner of the company usually answers the phone, and is very nice.
best,

Unless the residence is from the 1960's or beyond and has rigid uninsulated metal duct, they cannot be cleaned very well at all.
