So I've heard the HOA at Lake Hogan is really strict, not so much in Churton grove. Does anyone have any info on Sunset creek in CH? Or does anyone know any other nice communities/neighbourhoods in/near CH?
Thanks

Hi Sarah,

What is your price point and what are you looking for in a home? I was out with Clients the other day in Churton Grove and they loved it. I also like the feel of that community, and it is a hop skip and a jump to 85. I take it you haven't been out there yet.

Not yet, I drove through Hillsborugh when I was in NC and have since done a lot of internet research, I do like the sound of it, but I did love CH. Wondering if Hillsborough might be too small for my teenage daughter though. I like the look of Churton grove, not too keen on the idea oh HOA's in general though so trying to find a balance of what the kids need, and what I can bring myself to tolerate
Not sure at this point what we'll get for our house in NJ so that will determine what we can afford down there but we're probably looking at $350-$475 (ish).
At the moment I'm not looking for the perfect the house, but I am trying to find the right place.

Are schools an issue? Big difference between Chapel Hill and Hillsborough.

You could look at Colony Woods/Briarcliff: CH schools, older neighborhood with no HOA, and there is a swimming pool club that you can join if you want or not.
