When I lived in Cary this was my favorite pizza joint. I am a big Sicilian Pie fan, and this was the best I have had down here.
Does not quite compare to the Linden Pizzeria back home in Jersey, but beggars can't be choosers...
Thanks for the input. I was eating at BK the other day and finally paid attention to what was in that little plaza. NY Pizza and Baba Ganoush. Wife is so busy with work and school, I need to find some quick food or take out joints. I think I will spend today picking up all the takeout menus I can find that are close by.
The pizza was good but the service could have been better - about 7pm in evening and was being operated by a bunch of kids who were totally disorganised and had to wait 10 minutes, despite having ordered by phone, and got there at the time they said it would be ready
NY style pizza is the BEST in the area bar none. I grew up in NY and their pies bring me back to my childhood. That said, they know how good they are and is freaking expensive.
NY Pizza is good.
J&S In Apex is better imo (NY raised in a high pizzeria-per-capita suburb).
It's a little grungy and hard to find-in a strip mall on 55 near M R Wings.
That's the closest I can get to the slice I grew up eating. J&S has a new location in Fuquay, too-I've never been to that one.
The NY Pizza meat supreme is very good. I am a big fan of J&S too. Their store in Fuquay is very nice (it's in the block of stores when you first get to Fuquay Varina on 55 coming from Apex).
