Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinder has purebred dogs that need to be adopted.

This is the only pap breeder listed on the website for the Papillon Club of America. No personal experience with them.

We got our papillon from Jane Satterwhite. She is a papillon breeder in Mocksville, NC. Here is her website.

Heh, one of the problems with being bilingual (French) is that I saw this and read "Butterfly breeder in NC" and thought "HUH??"

If people did not buy puppies from puppy mills they would not exist. Please follow the advice above and rescue a dog.

Thank you,

Mike

Mike, not all dog breeders are puppy mills. Your comment is very unfair. Pet adoption is a fantastic thing to do, but some pet owners like purebred dogs because they love a certain breed. I like to raise a dog from a pup, that doesn't mean I dont fully research a breeder and get lots of references. I also have always visited the breeder personally, not just via net and phone. Its just really unfair to equate puppy mills with responsible dog breeders.

True, there are some responsible breeders out there. That being said, there are a lot more backyard breeders and uneducated people breeding animals.

I have show-quality (other than altered) purebred dogs that were obtained from rescues. I got in touch with the breed rescue groups for one and found the other on petfinder.org.
