I personally have had bad experience with chinese food on countless occasions.. This happened to me at a hotel in Chapel hill and also at another eatery in northwest raleigh. Do u have a story to share? The stage is all urs...
...and its not just the food, even the goods manufactured in china are horrible. I bought an umbrella from Walmart. It was made in china. I pressed the button to open it during a thunderstorm and to my utter surprise the umbrella nicely rocketed 10 feet away from me, with me holding the handle. I got more annoyed because this happened as I was stepping out from a chinese restaurant in chapel hill.
The terrible Chapel Hill chinese food made me sick and as if this wasn't enough, the chinese umbrella made me wet. What the shell !
I've only ate at one bad Chinese food restaurant here in the Triangle. It was in Apex, and it was horrible. The place has since gone out of business (it was off of 55, if I remember right) but it was really bad. I had food poisoning for days.
First time I crashed my car I had my work colleague from Shanghai in the passenger seat. Luckily, we were both OK. Still, I consider the crash to be a bad experience with chinese.
The only Chinese place I trust is the Crystal Palace on Capital Blvd. They actually shut down after lunch and throw away all the food on the buffet and make fresh for dinner service.
For me its the chinese checkers that drive me crazy....try as I might I just can't seem to "stack them" when I get "kinged"....its a conspiracy all right
