Just a weather pattern, up here we have had non-stop rain for two days and chance of thunderstorms each day for the next week, wonder if this is a sign to come re the hurricane predictions.

Raleigh is the rainest city on the east coast north of Flroida durring the summer. I know some lifestyle magazine just did a ranking of cities by their "summer atmosphere" and Raleigh ranked last (mostly because of the crappy weather). Buffalo NY ranked first. I'd say that's pretty accurate. Althouth Upstate NY has pretty rough winters, you can't beat the summers.

But to answer the originaly question.... no, it usually doesn't rain THIS much. We're on this wack pattern where it switches every other year.... one year it will be a washout, and the next we'll have a sever drought. We are just getting out of the severe drought from last summer with this little monsoon season we're having now.

Is Charlotte the same? Lots of rain? Has it been raining non-stop there too. I don't mind rain but too much may get to me. I'm glad we went last week. The weather was glorious.

There's some system blanketing much of the east coast. I'm in Boston and it's been raining like that too. I have my start page for my browser "Charlotte Weather" in google and see it's going to rain a lot more. I checked, Miami, DC, Virgnia, etc. all the same, so I don't think it's just Raleigh- we're all getting soaked!
