Braxton village in Holly Springs. As I said, brand new construction. 1450 sq/ft ranch with split floor plan and with 2 car garage on .2 acres. I paid $167k.

If you are down-sizing, this size would be perfect. It has some yard to mow but not bad at all. 20 minutes to mow if that. i use an electric mower.

Been there 5 months now and love it! FYI, I have the one of the smallest floor plans in the neighborhood. Most homes around me sold/sell for 200k plus.

fyi the subdivision is 3 miles to a brand new super-walmart, and an almost open harris teeter complex. Holly Springs is really jumping now. The only thing HS is lacking is a movie theatre and a home improvement place BUT those are both in the works and scheduled to be installed in 2011/12 based on what I read on the HS website...

My point is, it's a great place to retire to that still has a country setting but bigger town stores/shops, and is way more affordable than Cary or Morrisville.

I have sold quite a few homes in Braxton Village and you certainly get a lot for your money! The neighborhood is really pretty, although there are a few homes, right at the beginning, that was built by a different builder and look like the HOA needs to discuss yard maintenance with those folks!
