More reason for me not to overspend and purchase their food. The birds that visit my feeders eat the $10 bag of seed just as quickly as the $40 bag of seed!
Mine have aways shown a preference for the Wild Bird Center Choice blend over other cheaper foods. This is not good. Has anyone talked to the folks at one of the the stores?

I would check the website of your local store. The one in chapel hill has a note alerting customers about the recall, and states they sold two of the tainted bags, and identified and contacted the customers. The tainted brand was Wildlife Blend, not Choice Blend.

Got an e-mail this morning from the north Raleigh Wild Birds saying that the Choice Blend that I buy was OK. They stated that their two stores have sold less than 10 bags of the Blend in question, and those customers have already been contacted.

Folks you might want to try a bag and compare the number and frequency of at your stations. Keeps my Woodpeckers happy. It is amazing that even their oiled sun flower seed is a big hit over the norm. Have you tried their bark butter? Once they get use to it they go wild for it.
I had been trying to get woodpeckers to my yard for two years without success. A couple of months ago I tried the bark butter, and now they're here every day - both downy and red-bellied woodpeckers.
