I've used Randenn Kennels near Apex a couple of times and found them excellent in dealing with my older dog. They even have an office cat to keep the dogs in line.

I'm not impressed with kennels that keep dogs in cages most of the day. Maybe we're not average dog owners, but our dogs are NEVER put in cages. doing so would make their time spent away from home more anxiety ridden.

Thankfully we found a great kennel that gives small dogs freedom to roam around their office. At night they are placed in a room with doggie beds. The place is Reedy Creek Kennels near Raleigh Durham Airport. They are reasonably priced and treat the dogs as if they were their own.
