We're using this company. Aparently, they moved Clay Aiken from CA to NC! They showed us his glowing review!!! (not why we are using them!!)

We used Berger Allied and they were wonderful! They packed it one day, then the driver was right on time and got us loaded quickly as rain was expected...they worked their you-know-whats off. He was great...we drove across, and he met us in NC right on time and did a great job doing a tough delivery (our rental house was in on a narrow culdesac down a very steep driveway). We couldn't have been happier...not one thing was damaged. The office we worked with was in Tustin I think.

We used Don Farr Moving twice . They're awesome and were super nice. Besides the Pittsburgh accents were a plus.

we moved out here from San Diego almost a year ago using ABF's U-Pack system (same idea as PODS). the whole thing was a flawless transaction, and by the time we factored in the cost of gas and whatnot, it was significantly cheaper than doing the U-Haul thing.

of course, since you pack it yourself, you only have yourself to blame if something goes wrong. we had a few things break, but thankfully it was mostly cheaper furniture that we needed an excuse to replace anyway.

I don't recommend using Atlas. We used them for our move (500 miles) in October, and are still dealing with problems. The Department of Transportion guys in 3 states now know me by name. Unfortunately a bad moving experience is several thousand dollars of lessons learned.
