I am moving to the Durham area in the fall for 3 months while I work at the Lenox Baker Clinic at Duke. I am looking for a place that will take me short-term and that is not too far from work. I was hoping for a maximum drive of 20 minutes if possible. I would like a furnished place, but do not want to pay more than $1000 a month. I will most likely get an unfurnished place because not too many places are less than $1000. I am a 23 year old female, so a place with young professionals would be ideal and safe.
I have been looking on apartmentfinder and rent.com and have found options, but I am not sure what is good and what is bad. If anyone can suggest places that would be great.
Welcome to the triangle. I don't know much about apartments, but post the options you have found already and maybe I could help with the areas. I live in SW Durham by the Southpoint mall. Apartments in that area might be a good option.
here are a list of places I have been looking at and considering to set up appointments to look at when I come to visit.
Bridges at Soutpoint
1520 Magnolia (your place)
Duke Tower
Independence Park Apartments
Edinborough at the park
lodge at southpoint
soutpoint crossing
New Haven
Evergreens at Mount Moriah
Copper Mill
Thank you much for you help. I have never been to the area and am struggling to find places.
Thanks so much,
Lauren
