I imagine it is for some sort of commercial development. I noticed the logging equipment there last week and they have already cleared a few acres. Anybody know what the plans are for this location?

I was just there today, after visiting Homewood Nursery. (Do you ever go there, NRG? Absolutely gorgeous place.)

I'm wondering myself. I hate to see lots clear cut like that!

I pass there everyday and are so very sad to see all that wooded area go! It was always a nice buffer from the development behind it and Falls Points across the street from it. Areas like that give character to the North Raleigh area. Once its all gone it will look like Capital Blvd South from the Triangle Town Center to the Rt 440 split. Plaza after plaza and plaza after the occasional car lot and eating establishment. To bad so sad! I hope the space will not stay empty as the ALL the other offices they built on Falls of Neuse from Rt 540 North. Seems to be at least one Lease sign for each address sign.

I hope Upward Bound keeps their area across from the tree destruction area the way it is.

Homeward Nursery is really nice. Gives you the feeling of being in the gardens. This is the perfect time to visit them!

NRG, you should go to Homewood in the next day or two with your camera, if you're able. They have some gorgeous, huge cherry trees that are at their peak.

I was wondering if they're expanding that housing development that is right behind the lot they're clearing. Is that a possibility in addition to commercial development? I'd hate to own one of those beautiful homes and have parking lot lights shining in my windows all night

Is this the southwest side of the intersection? If so, I think this will be Walgreens.

That's it. How depressing. I guess having an Eckerd .5 miles down the road or 8 other drug stores within a 3.5 mile radius of that location is not enough.

Walgreen's is trying to take everything over. I guess it makes sense given Rite Aid is on the verge of bankruptcy. That will really lessen the traffic at the CVS I used to go to on Spring Forest and Atlantic.
