Hi

Does anyone know anything about the Autumn Ridge subdivision in North Durham? It appears to be off of Rose of Sharon Road. There are a few houses we like in there, but were just wondering if you guys could offer some "local insight". Is it nice? Family-friendly? Any major problems you know of?

Thanks!

The Rose of Sharon Rd. area in northwest Durham is a very nice, scenic area with many subdivisions and neighborhoods. Close to Eno River State Park and lots of other wilderness. That's a very popular area of Durham.

Beautiful area North of Durham. Homes range from 2,100 to 3,000 square feet and were built by St. Lawrence Homes. Current resale pricing: Under $350k.

10 Closings in 2006. Durham Schools: Eno Valley, Carrington, Northern.

Thanks!

Tracy, in searching the available homes in Autumn Ridge, some of them list the elementary school as Eno Valley and some list Easley. My realtor indicated that some neighborhoods are split in terms of school zoning and she thought that this is one of them. Do you know happen to know if that is the case here?

Easely is year round, and Eno Valley is on a traditional schedule, so I think you may have a choice. It's best to contact DPS. There is also a newer neighborhood a little further up Guess called Ashfield Place which sells both St. Lawrence and Drees, and they're brand new.
