We found a house, built in 1986, that we're interested in. It has a 2-car garage, with two single doors (not a double door). Everything on the house seems in great shape, except...

On both garage doors there is a gap-- about 1"-- between the jambs and the door, like the doors aren't quite pushed up close enough to the jambs, not like the doors are off center.

It sure isn't weatherproof: you can see into the garage through the gaps (though sideways, of course).

Is this just a matter of having the garage doors (or their rollers) adjusted to move the doors closer to the frame? Or is it more serious, like the tracks were installed too far back?

And any idea of the cost of garage door adjustment? Both doors have electric openers.

Thanks,

NMnative
