Which one of these courses tends to be in better shape, get more play, have more member activities?

We are deciding between these two communities. I have heard the commute to RTP will be about the same for either?

We looked at Devils Ridge....too expensive
Bentwinds....too far out
And then your various private clubs that are way to expensive.

Am I missing any? Thanks!

I would say Heritage on all counts. It is the best semi-private club in the area, IMO.

I don't play golf BUT if I had to choose between the two neighborhoods, Heritage would win, hands down!

I prefer the area around Heritage and I'd say it is probably a bit more pricey and a bit more desirable. However, I'm the first one to say that once you know the pros and cons, you should always buy what YOU want!

I don't think Bentwinds (or Crooked Creek, right next door) is any "further out" than Eagle Ridge if you're commuting to RTP. . . you'd take back roads to Crossroads to get on 40, but I really don't think the trip takes any longer. And you're not that much further,if any, from shopping, etc either - convenience shopping in Fuquay is very close by, and big box shopping at Crossroads is less than 20 min. during the day.
