The Reserve in Cary has large wooded lots with tons of mature trees. Excellent schools (Highcroft, Salem, Panther Creek). You may have to up your price point though.

We live in Glenmitt Stone, attached to Cotswold. 1/3 acre wooded lots. No pool, but many in our neighborhood belong to the Y (very close) or to Lifetime Fitness. Awesome neighborhood!

There is one house on the market right now for $275k and another has been on and off the market in the mid-300's.
