We will be installing a pool in our yard and would like to use an achitect to design an overall plan to include pool, cabana, plants, etc. Any information will be welcomed.

You can use a registered Landscape Architect for your project, but it's really not necessary and might cost a good bit more. The Arch has to pay for the fancy certificate. A good Landscape Designer would be more than capable to designing the pool and surrounding landscape. Not all Landscape Designers work with pools designs, but many do. I have seen some beautiful pool and pool-scapes designed by Down to Earth Landscape Designs, Inc. www.raleighlandscape.com
Another good company whom I've admired the work of is Gress Inc. www.gressinc.com
It is better to work with a Landscape Designer/Architect than just a pool installation company who is just focused on installing the pool. The Landscape Designer/Arch will help pull everything together and can help save money by considering the landscape in the process possibly utilizing some of the excavated soil from the pool dig on site.
