I'm sure there will be a couple of things going on that weekend (although I don't know of anything at this point) but in my experience Memorial Day tends to be one of the quieter weekends in the Triangle since Memorial Day traditionally kicks off the beginning of summer and a lot of people head out of town to hit the beach and many of the people who remain in town simply do the backyard BBQ thing.

A good resource to use for any weekend activities is the Independent Weekly. It's online and also available around the Triangle (free):

Independent Weekly: Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill

Also citysearch.com lists activities as well as the Friday section of the Durham Herald.

There's a Lebonese Festival at the state fairgrounds that Saturday and of course the flea market is there all weekend...
