Has anyone had the chance to eat here yet? I realize it only opened on Friday, but thought someone might have visited. Apparently it is a sit down with take-out and a drive-thru? Any thoughts?

Went by on Sunday, they didn't appear open. It's at the end of the building, so a drive through would be possible.

If they ever get that entire complex finished it might be a great thing....too early to tell.

We ate there on Saturday. They are still working out the kinks (took a while to get our food). Hushpuppies were great. Good place to go with the kids.

How long have you been here? Do you remember where the CVS used to be? They are completly redoing that entire plaza. It's at the far end.

If you don't know where that was, it's on Elm Street right before the Fire Station between Brook and S. Franklin across from the Town Hall.

My daughter and I ate there this evening.

We both ordered the small fried shrimp platter. I was told it came with fries and coleslaw. Said we didn't want fries.. could we get a salad instead? We got the salad for an extra $1.25 (a side house salad is usually $3.95). We decided to skip the slaw.

Next time I'll skip the salad. I would have been very unhappy had I paid $3.95 for this small (yet fresh) salad. I really think you should be able to substitute salad for the fries without having to pay extra !!!!

Our order was up in about 7 minutes.

We did get the fries after all, but were told we "didn't have to pay extra for the fries" b/c the "fries come with it" (along with a few hush puppies).

Regardless, we both thought the meal was VERY good. I usually don't order fried shrimp but tonight it was calling my name. Next time I will order the large shrimp.. just b/c I prefer large over popcorn shrimp.

I wasn't expecting popcorn shrimp. The menu says "small" shrimp and "large shrimp" - a large variance ! Popcorn Shrimp IS very small.. hence the name ! I think its a bit of a stretch saying the shrimp is small when it is actually popcorn shrimp...

The breading was light and tasty... just added a touch of S&P. It was not greasy !

I believe there is an upcharge for baked potatoes and also an additional charge if you order broiled.

The ice is wonderful.. almost a shaved ice.. loved it !
Business was steady but not packed. We were there early, around 5:00 pm.

We will return.

Overall, a nice addition to restaurant options in Wake Forest.

They sound new to the restaurant biz or the owner would have brought you something on the house. He was probably defensive about his menu signage. Finding out that it was not clear should have been worth the price of a freebie to him.
