The party will be in Chapel Hill, and I am looking for a cake for about 40 to 50 people. Ideally they can deliver it to a restaurant in Chapel Hill, that is why I am looking for a cake shop in that general area. Had thought of Sugarland, but am scared of going there based on the number of negative reviews posted about the owner and the products.Any recommendations, anyone? I want it to be special, so really trying to stay away from supermarkets with a bakery sections, but definitely open to suggestions if you have had good experiences. As usual, thanks for suggestions/opinions.D

Miel Bon Bons Patisserie & Confiserie - pastries, cookies and specializing in wedding cakes! (http://www.mielbonbons.com/about.us.shtml - broken link)

Have you checked into this place? I've never bought anything from there but it looks like a nice place. It's in Carrboro.

Thanks for the responses. I did contact Cakewalk a couple of days ago, and they do cakes for up to 30 people only, so it would not work out. And Sugarland is what I had decided on, but the reviews are really worrisome...not sure I want to go with them after reading the reviews...

Sorry to hear about the reviews... can you post a link or send me a DM? I am intrigued. I have been there a dozen times for cupcakes and treats and they have been amazing. Maybe just a cake thing?
