What about the opposite end? Moving from FL to there? Do the winters seem long? How about the summers?

As other have said, it depends where you are coming from.

We don't find it that much different than Southern NJ. In our part of coastal NJ where we are from, we were usually too close to the ocean to get much snow and the ocean breezes kept temps above freezing in the winter.

I would say temps here, on average, are about 10 degrees warmer in the Spring, Fall and WInter than in Jersey ....and the summers the same both here and in Southern NJ(HOT and HUMID).

We moved here a year ago from MA. The weather is definitely fantastic, but be prepared for the downside. Not much else down here is better than MA, maybe traffic depending on your current commute. Also, we have found the companies poorly managed.

Roads are poorly designed and almost always not illuminated.

Signs make little sense.

My daughter used to work for NCDOT so can't gripe too much, eh?

Not worth it for weather alone..not coming from NM anyway. Weather there is beautiful and mild almost year round...and No icky sticky humidity in the summer. Depends on the weather where youre coming from I guess.

We came from hot, steamy New Orleans in 1989.

The weather was like moving from Moderator cut: removed to Heaven.
