Just learned about this farmer's market. I've been looking for a place to find better fruits and veggies other than the grocery store. Has anyone been here yet?

Thanks in advance for any input!

I went for the first time about two weeks ago. It had an excellent selection of vendors; it is considerably larger than the downtown Cary market. There were good meat vendors selling products that included local pork, lamb, beef, and even NC shrimp. There were good veggies and several vendors of baked goods and plants. However, it is in essentially a fully exposed parking lot with NO shade, just the white tents for the vendors. As the summer goes on, I think it will be the hottest farmer's market in town. Go early.

I went this morning for the first time and it was hoppin'. Nice mix of vendors. I plan to make this a routine stop. I hope it's successful as it's in a really convenient location for me.

Thanks for so many details! I will definitely go next Sat. Love how convenient it will be. The Raleigh farmer's market was a bit overwhelming with 2 young (hot, tired, bored) kids!

Default Highly recommend

Been there a couple of times. I usually go to the Durham market, but this is almost as good. Smaller of course than Durham but nice mix of products and very friendly vendors. Still have some honey and meat in the freezer from my last visit there 3 weeks ago. Highly recommend!

Is there a big crowd like what you see at Raleigh farmers market on Saturday mornings?

The State Farmer's Market is open Sunday.
Burlington has a Sunday afternoon market.

This is a good list of local Farmer's Markets. Quite a few of the smaller ones also have a weekday event.
