It's a nice water color rendering, isn't it? One can only hope that that actual building will look as nice when built. I wonder how much creative license the renderer took with the landscape and "accessories" to the building. For one, it looks like there's some sort of skyway connecting the building to the brick one across the street. Secondly, there's that pool and huge globe sculpture in it. I am not holding my breath that that makes the final cut.
If I'm not mistaken the skybridge and the globe structure are part of the Green Square complex being built by the State government, which is a different project altogether, that has already been funded by the state and is currently under construction.

Those things are part of the already approved Green Square project. The skyway is there to connect museum exhibits. This is all actually quite a large project and SECU just happens to be right smack in the middle of it so it works out quite well for them.
Does anyone know where we can go to see Moore Square redesign renderings? Are they being posted yet?
The contest was only announced yesterday, lol. There will be I think two open public idea forums in the coming months and the the official competition submission starts from engineers, designers, and architects. You'll probably start seeing renderings for what the new Moore Square could be later this summer/fall.
I hope it all happens. I LOVE seeing new development.
