I am curious to know what people in the surrounding areas of Flowers Plantation who drive by 42 and Buffalo Rd in Clayton would like to see in the shops going up eventually near the Pineville Club? I heard there was a grocery store going up and I haven't heard anything else. What would everyone like to see in the little shopping center? Or what do you think would thrive?

Well, it won't happen, lol, but I would LOVE to have some type of hardware store there. Right now if I want to go to Lowe's, I have to drive to either Knightdale or 40/42. There's a small hardware store in Clayton, but I had a bad experience there.

That would be nice. I would like to see a deli/cafe. With good subs and breakfest sandwiches, salads, and something other than pizza and hot dogs that you can get down the street. Something similiar to the Poppy Seed market in North Raleigh.

Definitely more restaurant-types. Hardware store is a great suggestion.

The anchor is a Bloom grocery store. A nail salon, chinese place, cell phone store, etc will probably fill up the rest of the space. I have no inside info on that, but just from previous experience that is usually what goes into strip malls. lol

I'm not sure Flowers Grocery would want too much competition!

Their hots dogs are wonderful and they are "almost famous" according to the sign!

I know there is a Bloom going in by Riverwood -they finally started on it. Is there another one going in by Pineville? I thought it was a Lowe's as well.
