Hello Friends,
I am an IT consultant relocating to Raleigh-Durham end of this month. I have got a permanent job in Durham.

I am completely new to the area and don't know anything about it. Just visited the place once last year, that too for the interview. However, didn't have enough time to move around the place.

I seek your help in providing me any information about the area. Also, I need more help in knowing what are the best places to live. I am a single male, hence would prefer a place that is happening around. I am not sure whether I should choose to stay in Durham or in Raleigh?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank You !

Boyjon,
Search this forum, and you will soon deduce that you have a wealth of choices.

Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill have great downtown areas.

Cary and Apex tend to be suburbia.

Welcom to town!

For a single guy like yourself you may want to check out downtown Raleigh or even possibly Durham. For a smaller city but one that is ped friendly check out Chapel Hill. Amongst all three Raleigh has the most night life if that is a consideration. Good luck.
