For one that area is NOT Wake Forest. It's Raleigh, near Wakefield....and well off the beaten track for most people's commutes unless they are coming from that area.
If the place is going to be well run or not, we'll just have to see, but if it's going to be part of any of the groups that own other local DDs...well...I doubt it. Your best bet is to hope for a new franchisee to come to the area.
I consider my part of Wake Forest and Wakefield pretty much one-in-the-same. It’s not as if there’s some invisible barrier that keeps people from moving between the two areas.
Dunkin Donuts will have to succeed or fail on the merits of their products and service just like any other business. I don’t believe I ever implied otherwise.
That area is not well off the beaten track. It will also soon be one of the major arteries to 540 and Capitol in that area once the new bridge is in place!

And how long has that bridge been 'in the works' now?
And if you are in Wake Forest...it is off the beaten path...mostly because it's NOT in Wake Forest. (And contrary to some opinions, the two are not the same.)

I've heard people say they live in the "Wakefield portion of Wake Forest."
??????
I'm sure the same thing happens in the areas of Wake County where Apex and Cary blend into each other..
Back to Duncan Doughnuts - I'm glad to see one coming to Northern Wake County !!!!!!
When we lived in New England, there were DD's all over, and the people there swear by their coffee. There were always lines to get through the drive-through.
Just because some people say it, that doesn't make it right. There is not 'Wakefield' portion of Wake Forest. Two seperate areas.
You're right about one thing Zoya....just because someone says something doesn't mean they are correct. And you are not correct on this one. Parts of the Wakefield subdivision are considered Wake Forest and have a Wake Forest address. Anyway back to DD...like I said before and like the OP said it will be nice to have one NEAR Wake Forest.
KKs are too light...sugar puffed air. They are okay if you get them VERY fresh but that is about it.
That's because they are not cake doughnuts like DD. Two different types.
Technically, that DD is in Raleigh. There is a Raleigh Fire Station right behind there and if you turn left onto NFON Rd. from northbound Capital there is a sign right there that says "Raleigh City Limits".
Good gracious! The intent of the post was to let people who are interested in new places to shop or buy good & services in the area they live. I never intended it to be a debate about where Wake Forest ends and begins. It is not an annexation debate its only purpose was to inform about Dunkin Donuts opening up on New Falls of Neuse and many of us pass there everyday to and from where we live. So it will be really cool to have a DD located there......IMHO!
The bridge to Falls of Neuse will happen someday. Obviously the new owners of the DD did not base their opening on a new bridge.
Maybe they should of put the DD in the Factory of Heritage for more traffic but chose not to.
But I for one am happy to see a new place open up in a empty plaza wherever that may be.
I love DD, music to my ears..Don't have to drive 25 min to heart of Raleigh for my DD fix
