I am 25 weeks pregnant and looking for a new OBGYN practice that is associated with Wake Med in Cary (am currently a patient of Triangle OBGYN). Any recommendations?

I've heard great things about Dr. Welch. I am planning on either trying out him or Triangle. I had a bad experience with Physicians for Women, so I don't recommend them.

I agree with the non-recommendation of Physicans for Women. I wasn't thrilled with them either.

Sorry, I dont have any recommendations. Im curious though why you want to change. Is there something wrong with Rex Hospital? (Im asking bec Im a few weeks behind you and a Triangle OB patient. WakeMed Cary is MUCH closer to me, but I like the OB's so decided to stick around).

Are they not delivering at WakeMed Cary anymore? Dr. V delivered my daughter there a few years ago and I was ecstatic with his care. Although I have to say I did receive some less than desirable care from others in the practice....

So, you are looking to change ob's just to deliver at wake med cary instead of rex? I have heard good things about Capital ob/gyn and rex is a great hospital. Are you just looking for a smaller practice or something?

I'm a Triangle OB patient and I was satisfied. They have wonderful OBS (Dr. V, Dr. Grana) and even better midwives (Jessica is new and wonderful!, LUCY delivered my baby). Give them a shot.

I've been using Capital Area OBGYN for a few years now. Loved the experience at Rex and am due to give birth there again in less than 2 weeks. The doctors at Capital are great.
