Just went to the Rockola one a few weeks back - will definitely return too. Good prices, great service and food is good. Think an upper class of Applebees but not too high upperclass.
Mayflower is fine if you are in the mood for a fried seafood platter.
I get that craving once a year and it has all the seafood restaurant
decor that adds to the charm.
Love Rock-ola. We went there a few weeks ago and I actually commented to my family how wonderful our waitress was. I would go back. The food was "ok" (typical American fare), the price was fine and the service was excellent.
Rock-ola is okay. It's typical burgers, etc. I haven't been in years. I thought it was closed down.
Mayflower is okay depending on which location you go too. I like hushpuppies. There aren't a ton of fried seafood places around here, so I go every once in a while. I prefer 42nd Oyster Bar though.
We ate at Mayflower today for lunch. It seems like a nice lunch place with both fried and broiled seafood. Prices are good and food was good. I wouldn't eat their for dinner, but it is a good lunch place. We will go back. Their clam chowder is very very good. Very thick & creamy.
