A couple of weeks ago, I saw on a local Internet site an item for sale that I wish I'd bought.

It looked like a kitchen wastebasket on wheels with a tight-fitting top. The ad said it was a pet food container.

I'd love to find one that we could put 40 lbs (a large bag) of dry food in.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I got one about 3 or 4 yrs ago. Check for stores that sell Rubbermaid and similar products (see if you can find it online before driving all over):

- Walmart
- Target
- Lowe's
- Petsmart or Petco

You can purchase them online as well. Do a search for "rolling dog food storage"

If you can't find anything at the great places lottamoxie listed you may want to try the storage place in the Salt Box Village on Kildaire farms rd. I can't think of the name for the life of me at the minute but it is in the Salt Box Village. They carry all kinds of containers and storage solutions.

The store in Salt Box Village is called Space Savers. They have a rolling container for 30 lbs of food.

I have one that will hold a 30 lb. bag of dog food. I got it at Hold Your Own in Raleigh, which has since closed. However, I believe they have a location in Durham.

A little off topic, but I got tired of lugging the dog food from the store to my house and then loading it into my bin in the garage. I found a company that delivers high quality food right to my door and use organic ingredients. They will give you the container and then when you re-order food you get it delivered to your door in a zip lock plastic bag which you just stick in the container.
Feedyourpets.com is their website. My dogs enjoy the food, I am not associated with the company at all, just a happy customer with well fed corgis!
