Lake Benson Park in Garner on the 3rd with the NC Symphony. Lots of fun...food, fun stuff for the kids, food. They have Shuttle Buses so I can avoid the traffic this year!
im torn between durham bulls and the state fairgrounds. i guess there's some cool place down by this lake in cary... regent park maybe? someone told me about. that looks neat. i might just go to the beach like the rest of north carolina and then who knows. anywhere on the coast that is good?

I heard they also have fireworks in Rolesville. Has anyone ever been? If so, how was it? What else do they have there? (vendors, bands, etc)
We went to Rolesville last year and it was nice. There was a lot of area to throw down a blanket or chairs and they had all kinds of vendors. I don't remember there being a band but they had all kinds of food and goodies.

Was there a charge to get in or for parking? It sounds like it wasn't too packed either?

I'm going tonight, too! I'll look around for anyone who looks like she could be Garner Mama.
We're going to check out the free fireworks and music in Mebane. Then we'll be at Festival for the Eno on Sunday.
