I'm his brother. Just going through his computer and noticed this forum. Seems he was quite active here and controversial. True to his nature I suppose. He passed away about 2 weeks from a water skiing accident in Florida. He made it out of intensive care and home for a day, but died later from complications after surgery. For those who care.

Reading his many posts here, it seems he let it all hang out on the forum. In real life, he was a passionate guy, good to everyone, and kind at heart.

Bye,
William

Oh my God! How terrible! I am sure that I speak for most when I say that our hearts go out to your family. Thanks for letting us know. It really wasn't required but most appreciated.

Thanks, William, for passing on the news. Sad news indeed.
Your brother always let us know what he was thinking.
No veneer. No facade.

I sympathize with your loss, and wish you, and Carolina Cowboy, all possible peace.

Perhaps a fitting memorial would be for everyone to give him a rep point.

I tossed in a nickel, and flagged the post, asking for "Eternal Member" status.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It takes all kinds of people to make a forum community, and agree or disagree with him, CarolinaCowboy was an integral part of the community here. And at this moment, any disagreements people here may have had with him are meaningless.

My thoughts go out to his family.

I am very saddened to learn of Cowboy's passing. It is all too easy to forget that there are real people behind the usernames on an internet forum. From his contributions here it is clear that cowboy had a passion for life and I am sure he was loved very much by those who were close to him. My heart and prayers go out to his family.
