It looks very small and very rural from the satellite pictures. Can you tell me any specifics? What kind of people (meaning older no kids, older families, younger families)schools and shopping?

Thanks,
K

The other North Carolina forum might have more answers they cover the entire state and Pine Level seems quite a ways out from the Triangle.

It's near Smithfield and I-95; I've read a few posts on here about a nice outlet mall in Smithfield. This part of Johnston County isn't growing nearly as fast as the area around Clayton.

'Cause you mentioned it, I looked at the satellite image. Looks like Pine Level started as a small railroad town.

Pine Level is the suburbs of Selma. And if anyone is familiar with Selma, they'll catch the humor. Pine Level is very small. It used to be a couple of stoplights on US 70 but since 70 has been rerouted, it's not even that anymore. If you're looking for a quiet rural life and be about an hour from Raleigh, then Pine Level would fit the bill. If you enjoy going out for dinner on occasion (and not having to drive 30 minutes to do it), then Pine Level isn't for you.

LOL!! Thanks for adding the part about catching the humor! For a sec I thought I had been gone from NC too long and the development bug had drifted to Selma too! LOL!

Thank you all! From the coments here and on the main NC board, Pine Level sounds a little too rural. Not a good fit for us. We will stick to looking in Clayton, Fuquay-Varina, Raleigh and Garner. Leaning most towards Clayton at this point.
