I am from Charlotte NC, but I am currently working for Lockheed Martin here in Fairfax VA. I am interested in moving back down to that area because it would be a great area for my girlfriend and I with our education backgrounds.

I did J2EE for about 2 years out in Omaha, NE for Union Pacific Railroad and I took a position at Lockheed and it is nothing close to what I was hired for. If anyone could help that would be great.

I am a graduate of NC A&T class of 07'.

Thanks

Honestly the market has a good share of unemployeed Java Developers that have extensive experience, that are willing to work for a lot less money, which is going to make it very hard for you to find a new position at this time. If you are open to the Greenville/Spartanburg SC area, I might be able to help you though.

Where I work, we do a mix of C++/Java development and maybe hiring some developers. Is Java all you do?

I also do system administration for Unix, Linux and Windows. But J2EE is what I am trying to do. I thought that that was what I would be doing for Lockheed but they placed me on another program doing something totally different.

I work on anything IT related, however I am not "in" IT, I do Technical Recruiting for a Staffing Firm (International Firm), but I work in our Raleigh/Durham Office. Although most on here might say they hate recruiters, I have helped a few on this site before.
