I think you will love Raleigh! I moved here from Florida and about the only adjustment you have to make are the taxes you will spend...that is all.

Why not visit and give it a try?

Hi, what part of florida. I live outside of orlando now and really considering moving to raliegh or charlotte. whats the weather like, is it a drastic change from Fl? I dont mind season change but my husband loves florida warm weather year round.

Charlotte reaches its lowest average temperature at the end of December: average high 51, low 32-33, and it stays that way through most of January before slowly moving up. The record highs during that period are mostly in the 70s; the record lows are mostly single digit.

Most winter days get at least into the 40s, but there might be a couple days that don't get above freezing.

Raleigh is similar, but a degree or two colder.
