Land has been cleared at the intersection of page and t.w. alexander. This is the area across the street from fedex and the cvs/foodlion shopping center. Any ideas?

Just drove past it last night. Couldn't see much at night.

The only thing I've pulled up on it, providing the address of that location is:
2001 T W ALEXANDER DR.

Connected with: TKC CXXIV LLC; Filed for sign permit in March and June (Sign Connection).

Also, found "Implus Footcare, 263000 sq. ft. at 2001 TW Alexander Dr., build to suit..."

Maybe those tidbits can help.

Nice work caliboy. I may have found the answer with your help.

"Implus currently leases a combined 130,000 square feet of warehouse space in the Globe Center industrial park in Morrisville and at a building on Miami Boulevard in Durham. The new Implus building will be located on T.W. Alexander Drive in Durham across from the Laboratory Corporation of America office buildings. "

Implus Footcare expanding, but sale could be near - Triangle Business Journal:

The implus building is already built on TW Alexander, closer to Miami - huge building with the landscaping stone retaining wall in front. The land being cleared at the intersection of TW Alexander and Page is something different. I can't seem to figure it out either...

Default 159-Unit Townhome Development

I just checked the City of Durham website. The Parcel # is 157370, the address is 2051 T.W. Alexander Drive and the project is a 159 townhome subdivision on 40 acres.

It is identified as the northwest corner of the intersection at Page Road and T.W. Alexander Drive.

The engineers are Withers and Ravenel and it is known as the Davidson project, with three phases.

The project is being run through Alexander Investment Group, LLC. Looks like they were also the owners of Alexander Village, the shopping center right across Page Road from this project.

Oh no, I hope it doesn't end up as another swath of vinyl-sided boxes. Gettin' tired of seeing that type of quality.

Well, this is disappointing. I live just nw of there, behind the Food Lion. There are already a bunch of empty townhouses in the development directly north of where the land was cleared. I wonder why they think the new ones will do any better.
