We are fairly new to the area, and I'm seeking a really good back doctor for my 75 year old Father. His back is out and he has been in terrible pain, he can hardly walk. We have taken him to Wake-Med already, and Quick Cares with very little help. They took a Cat-Scan and said that it is his Sciatica
Nerve. He has pain from his back down his entire left leg.

Any and all recommendations would be very much appreciated. I'm sure there
are others out there, that have been through the same thing.

We are also looking for a great Family Doctor/Internist for him as well, if you know of someone, please recommend, as this is where we may have to start.

Important: Both doctors must be accepting new Medicare and AARP patients. That is the tough part. If you can help in anyway, it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you, and God Bless, Toni

Hi there -

So sorry for your dad - I had horrible sciatica during my first pregnancy - I can commiserate that it's a terribly painful condition to have, and nothing relieved it until I went to see a chiropractor - no medication, no talking to my primary doctors, etc. - everyone just threw their hands up and said I'd have to just live with it. During my first pregnancy, I went to three different chiropractors as I too could not walk (and had other complications) - the last was by far eons better than the other two and I have recommended her to many, many since then. Gray Family Chiropractic is off of Millbrook Road - it's a team of 2 sisters whose father was also a chiro (I see Dr. Gray). They are the nicest group of people you ever did meet - Dr. Gray is attentive, gentle, truly caring, and really gets to know her patients, though she has loads and loads of them.

Now I'm pregnant again, and have been seeing her for the last couple of months just to make sure I don't have the same problems I did last time - so far so good - it's been a real relief, I can assure you.

Call Raleigh Chiropractor, Raleigh North Carolina for Results

I don't know about the Medicare part, but all it would take would be a quick call to find out - their number is 919-850-2440. Hope he feels better soon!
