We are looking to move to the area and was wondering if there are any Y's w/ outdoor pools in the Wake Forest area? We have been very surprised at how few people have their own pools.

Thanks.

yes, there is one at The Factory, but no pool yet. i was told that they are putting an indoor pool there but its not finished (or started?) If you join the WF YMCA then you automatically have access to the one at Wakefield that has indoor/outdoor pool.

Thanks.
The town of Wake Forest also has a pool at Holding Park and many developments have their own.

mcfamilyof4 has already mentioned the Wakefield YMCA that has a pool.

Desdemona,

Are there any public outdoor pools in CH that are not part of a development?

I don't know much about Chapel Hill...but they do have a public pool as part of Orange County.

Maybe some Chapel Hill folks will have better details for you.

That would definitely be interesting. I would love to see it. Joining the Y in wakefield (banks kerr YMCA) is about 250 to join and 80 a month for a family membership. The membership can be used at any Y location (including the factory).
