I've never been here, and was wondering how it compares to other stores in the area (Harris Teeter, Kroger, Whole Foods, Food Lion). Just wondering about prices and quality - it seems like it would be similar to HT in price, but if so is it worth it? Thanks for any input!

It's a speciality grocery store with limited selection and high prices. They really should tap into more allergen free foods. I prefer Whole Foods and Trader Joe's Fresh Market does nothing for me.

They have GREAT meats and some really good prepared foods/soups, otherwise, limited selection of specialty foods as Kelley mentioned above. I'm not fond of their produce. Prices are high.

It's very nice, like a gourmet grocery, but it's expensive. I do not do regular shopping there.

I go there at least once a week - I really like their selection of prepared foods. Great for a single person who doesn't cook often! It is expensive compared to a regular grocery store, but less than eating dinner out. I spent $10 tonight for dinner, including a Canfield's Diet Chocolate Fudge soda (yum!).

Oh and their desserts are VERY good.. I try to avoid that corner of the store, except for an occasional treat.

FYI, they have another location in Chapel Hill at the 54/15-501 interchange. It's nowhere near as busy as the Cary location.

I think "boutique" grocery is fitting.
Or, "upscale convenience store."
It is pricey, and limited, but I like the location, within walking distance for hundreds of homes.
More of this would produce more walkability in the area.

Popped in and picked up a little potato salad to go with dinner tonight.

I really like their meat section...candies...and mixes. Their prepared foods were a good option when I didn't want "fast food" while @ NCSU. I'm sure the Cary one is very similar. Their raisin Brioches are quite good as well. They run out so quickly at the Fresh Market I go to. I usually go to the one by NCSU or the one @ Falls of the Neuse and Spring Forest.

Well, you've gathered its a boutique type of place and it's sort of pricey.

That said, they really do have a fantastic prepared food smorgasbord. They'll let you sample it too.

Meat dept. is very nice but pricey. Ordered a crown roast and turkey from them. Wasn't disappointed.

Sort of think their vegetable section is small given the name of the store. They have a nice assortment of holiday candies and nuts--but I think Trader Joes has them beat now.

They have a nice bakery and dessert section and no one has ever complained in my house.

There is one in Cameron Village too. So, it's not my regular store, its not even my fill in store but I do shop there. If it were in walking distance, I'd go more.
