Has anyone noticed an issue with the cameras flashing at Cary Parkway & High House Road in Cary when the light turns yellow? It's a premature flash.
I made a legal U-turn there today and as I entered the turn the light turned yellow and the cameras started flashing. The cameras are not waiting for the red light. I could be mistaken, but I thought the pictures are taken just after the light turns red, to catch people in the intersection.
Hopefully I am not on camera, as I was doing a 180.

Now that the 'real' Teleprompter in Chief has announced Gitmo is redundant the Town of Cary has taken it over so that residents jumping the lights are properly punished. Don't worry Charlton Dude will send you food parcels

This thread is titled "What's wrong with flashing in Cary?". I didn't expect a sign discussion!
Really. I was going to suggest something about not fitting in the proper "size range" or not being "beige enough", but...
As far as the OP's question (cameras taking pics on Yellow), don't worry. I had it happen to me (not in Cary, but Raleigh) and I never got a citation. The photo would clearly show a yellow light. I think they might do it early just to "remind" people about squeezing the light and I am fairly certain that once it happens to you, you will avoid running even a yellow light there. Thus, the purpose of curtailing red-light running is aided even without actual tickets.
I had been borrowing my folks vehicle (with California tags) when I had that happen to me. I knew I had crossed on a yellow light, and was pretty peeved. I called my folks to tell 'em to expect a ticket but no ticket was ever received.
If your car isn't beige the camera takes a picture so they can send you a ticket for having a non beige auto.
