Does anybody have any information on St. Croix Concepts? They're a marketing firm in Raleigh. I am job hunting and noticed that they're hiring, but I was not very impressed with their website and was hoping that somebody on the forum had had some experience with them, or heard of them. Anything you can tell me would be useful. Thanks!!
I would avoid any marketing agency with a website that flat. Anyone in marketing worth their salt would have a much better website to attract potential customers.
It looks eerily familiar to another "marketing company" who also went under a few other names (allegedly) and hire "energetic, athletic and enthusiastic" people because they are walking around or driving around all day selling tickets, ginsu knives or "As seen on TV" products (anyone purchase Mighty Putty or a Chicken Rotisserie while at work?)
What kind of work are you looking for in the marketing field? PM me if you feel more comfortable (of course I am some random stranger on a public forum so I don't now how much more comfortable you can be than that )

Reason: The copmpany I mentioned was not the right one....
No...I just know a lot On a serious note, I am going to PM you some info as I don't want anyone thinking I am selling something I am not. I just like referring people, especially when it comes to finding a job.
Their website is quite unprofessional, including a few good typos/grammos/whatevers. Plus, it looks like total BS, as they don't ever bother to tell you what they actually do. I'd avoid.
I went to two interviews with them. The first was the standard interview but the second impressed me. They allowed me to follow one of their employees around for a day to determine if I wanted the job and they said it allowed them evaluate me also. I have never been on an interview before where a company let me see what I would be doing before I said yes or no. They lady I followed that day (and myself) agreed that the job was not for me. I was looking for strictly an office job and this job required me to meet up with their clients out the office and in the clients office. If I was about 10 years younger I would have taken the position.
I would say they are legit because the clients I met were happy with the service and the company markets in Raleigh for a well known national company.
Don't do it, I worked for a company like this for a day and they really took advantage of me. They make the job sound legit but it's actually a pyramid scheme. "Marketing" and "Sales" are two different things and this company is seriously confused.
