Good to know ^ as that's not what I would have assumed with the number of students in the area and home ownership on the decline.

Some excellent info guys, thank you so much.

Anyone else have anything to add..?

Default nice area within minutes of Duke

My husband is in graduate school at Duke. We bought a house a year and a half ago just west of Duke off Morrenne Rd. Our neighborhood, Lennox, backs into American village and is a quick commute to Duke University and hospital. We have been very happy in this area and it is super convienent to shopping, dining, etc. Several interstate hwys merge together (15-501, 147, 85) nearby, so getting around Durham is a breeze. Ours is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with mostly Duke students and employees.
