Anyone have experience with using a fax machine on digital phone service? Would like to know if it's a problem before switching.

TWC is almost transparent to you while Vonage needs changes to your phone setup. Only phones TWC won't support is dial. I actually have one dial phone as a blast from the past.

I fax all the time using Vonage, no special set-up needed. Just used a phone line splitter for the fax machine......

And might add Vonage is much cheaper - pay for a year at a time and its only 19.99/month, unlimited calls anywhere in the USA....TWC is twice that.

And the first time your cable service goes down, and you are without phone service (TWC OR Vonage) you will wish you still had a landline phone. Liz

How often does the cable go down? I can't even remember the last time it did here in the past 4 years.

We don't have cable phone....we only use cells. A landline is just not needed for most families anymore.

Ask the folks who got hit with the power outage the took out the entire Northeast.

You are vulnerable to tornadoes, high winds, ice storms, etc. All those can take out power lines. And even if your area has buried cable not all of the city is buried. Liz

As I said...I don't have either. I think landlines are terribly dated and overpriced.

We went to cells only over 2 years ago and haven't regretted in once.
