My mother wants to move here to be closer with us. She is senior citizen looking for condo/duplex/house that can be affordable for her, especially with limited income. Do you know where can I check it out at? We live in Clayton and the closer to where we live is better.

I had been doing research on the same thing. I actually found an active adult community that is going to be built in Clayton. It is going to offer a lot to its residents. The name is Summerwinds Plantation. Below is a link I found, it is all I can find so far, I just found it today...LOL.This is an active adult community that offers a lot for senior citizens. They will have a community center and all that, it is a wonderful place to live in to help her make friends. www.activeadultliving.com/NC/cary_summerwinds (broken link)

She prefers to live alone, since we are going to assist her in any way we can.

The community I mentioned above is independent living. It just makes it easier for her to meet people socially. My in laws are looking into active adult communities and they are only in their 50's. They will cut her lawn and do all the outside maintance to her home. Which makes it easier on her. They also do more activities geared toward her age.
