We are moving at the beginning of next month and need some recommendations for movers. Who do you recommend and what are their rates?

thanks!

Trosa has pretty good reviews here. We used them a number of years ago and would certainly call them again.

ladyvet, we too are moving at the beginning of October! I did an advanced search on this forum specifically, and here are a few companies I found people recommended:
- Two men & a truck (a friend of mine had a personal experience with them that was awful, but others have had good experiences...soo... not sure)
-Trosa (a lady in my office has had WONDERFUL experiences with them). Rates are $120/hr, two hr. minimum
-Movin On Movers in Apex. (yet to find out rate)
-Holloway Movers (again, idk rate yet)
-Furniture Cab seemed to have the best rates so far. $75 per hr (2 hr minimum) or you rent your own truck and its $60/hr.
-Triangle Movers & Shakers $90/hr again, 2 hr minimum

Let me know if you hear of any more good ones! I'll keep my eye on this thread for any other suggestions... Best of luck w. your move!!

We used All The Right Moves for our move last year and were extremely pleased. I would strongly recommend them. I don't recall the rates, but they were very competitive!

I recently used J&J Movers (this is not the name they use in the yellow pages, but its what they say when you call them). Suffice it to say I will try someone else next time.

I used Movin' on Movers last summer to move from Apex to Cary. I was very happy with them, especially with the care they took of my appliances (stove, washer, dryer). Their rate seemed very reasonable to me, which is why I just went with them rather than get multiple quotes.

I too would strongly suggest TROSA in Durham. They are a great reputable company, great service, and great benefit to the community.

We used all the right moves and weren't impressed. They called the morning of the move and said that they'd be 3 hours late, however they also offered to take 10% off. There were 3 guys (one of which was quite lazy and unprofessional). There were a few scrapes on the wall, but I guess that's maybe common? All in all, they were just so-so and weren't moving as fast when my husband wasn't present. I wouldn't use them again.
